The Lives Behind the Wool
The flock at Fred & Freda’s Forever Farm currently numbers 51 woolly friends, each with their own character and story. While not all are shown here, we’ve chosen a small selection to introduce — a glimpse into the lives behind SheepKind, and the individuality that defines everything we create.
Simon – The Leader of the Flock
Simon is a calm, confident Romney and the natural leader of the flock. Every time we’ve moved fields, he’s been at the front, guiding the others. When he was away looking after his friend, Ben, the rest of the flock broke into five chaotic groups — a true sign of how much they rely on him. When Simon returned, he called, and the entire flock followed.Simon loves a tummy rub and follows you until he gets one.
Tiny – Fred’s Partner in Crime
Also a Romney, Tiny is mischievous and often gets stuck in odd places — once, it was the weigh scales. He just blinked at Juliet while she took it apart to free him. He and Fred seem to be in a club for sheep who get themselves stuck.
Conk – The Nose That Saved Him
Conk is a Jacob with a speckled white nose — the feature that got him rescued. While moving fields, he and his friends jumped into a reen. Juliet swam through the muddy water in her underwear to save them. Conk now avoids water, but never strays far from his companions Moss, Buttons, and Tug.
Zorro – The Gentle Giant
Zorro is a massive Jacob with mask-like facial markings, but he’s not bold — he’s shy! Zorro hides behind others and lets them make the first move, but he’s gentle, thoughtful, and beloved by the flock.
